Carnaval 2021

SPRING WONDERS

Hi, I'm Hugo Silgo and today I'm going to write a review about the spring concert that we heard on Friday, April 1.

It was a concert by a string orchestra with pieces that we have heard in class such as "Radetzky March" or  "Vivaldi's Spring". It costed us 3 euros and lasted about one hour.
It was offered by the orchestra María Deraismes, which is a string orchestra in honor of the journalist María Deraismes. The performers were very experienced and there was great coordination.

It was held at the IES Rodriguez Moñino highschool, in the courtyard. To improve the acoustics, a series of speakers were used so that it could be heard correctly and a mixing table to mix all the instruments.

It was organized by the music department of the highschool and they were a series of concerts that took place during class time and that will possibly be repeated next year.

It was directed to the students of the entire highschool and there were about a hundred and twenty spectators per session.

The show was announced to us by the direction team from the Rayuela digital platform. I attended the show because I was interested in the pieces being played and we had played and listened to them in class.I really liked the show, because it has a great quality, although with the exception that you could hear the sound of the wind that made the music even lower quality.

The musicians played impeccably. They were dressed in suits and it was in agreement with the type of performance.

There were several explanations for the public about the pieces, very well explained. In my opinion it was suggestive because adaptations of modern pieces were also played for the younger audience, although some explanations could have been more summed up.

As I have repeated before, many of the pieces have been worked on in class.

What I liked the most is how the musicians played with passion and it was obvious that they enjoyed it. The parts that I liked the most were the sung pieces (where there were vocalists) because the singers gave the music greater expressiveness.

I would like to be the conductor so that I can lead the whole orchestra and feel their pride.

I would also like to develop the value of collaboration as all the artists collaborate with each other to be able to bring an amazing result.

I experienced: enthusiasm, peace, tranquility and kindness. I could use three adjectives to describe the concert: motivating, fun and relaxing.

I would recommend it to all my friends because it is a way to enjoy the art of music.

Artículos de  alumnos/as

Hugo

Alexia

“The concert was very interesting because it was very well understood what the musicians wanted to explain. For me the concert was so beautiful because it was about spring and that season had just started. The work of the musicians was amazing, there wasn't any error and the synchronization was incredible.”

Santa Maria Strela do dia ( 2º B)- Soloiste recorder played by Mª José de Vega.

The conference was really interesting and exciting. It was organised by Nines ( Literature teacher in 2º A).
Angel sang as soloist a part of Santa Maria Strela do dia and immediately after al the group sang a "romance" composed by Marcos and Pedro:

Soy el hacedor de versos
vean a este juglar actuar
con cantares al momento
diversión les voy a brindar.
Un perro iniciará el baile
y fuego voy a lanzar
luego contaremos un cuento.
La función va a comenzar.

Y mi nombre es don Rodrigo,
Rodrigo, el mejor juglar
interpretando mis cantigas
voy de ciudad en ciudad.
Algunos nobles me llaman
para poemas recitar
y tocar zanfoñas y gaitas.
Mi laúd os voy a mostrar.

We sang and played  "Hallelujah", composed by Leonard Cohen and performed by Rufus Wainright.

And finally we watched some videos to finish this topic:
