Curso 2022-2023. 1º de ESO. Sección Bilingüe.

In bilingual groups we started singing African songs as Simamaka, Funga alafia or Banaha. 

Yes, We are preparing our concert in Segura Covarsí school. 

Inmediately after, we worked about the name of the parts of the songs ( Verses, choruses, etc).

We drew an ukelele and we started to play chords in our ukelele








We rehearsed in class a choreography for "Thriller" by Michael Jackson in 1ºCD





We went to Gredos centre and we had different courses: 


Finally, we learnt how to read tabs

And we tried to tune our ukeleles:

And we learnt to play:  "Twinkle little star" and "Un elefante se balanceaba"

And we started to play "Wimoweh" with 3 chords, C, G7 and F




January 2023

Looking for my special musical talent: 

Choose ONE of these special activities to present a musical production in January.
 
a) A personal choreography or a choreography danced by a group of your classmates ( pay attention to coordination, creative movements, rhythm, costumes, etc). You can perform your choreo in class or you can send a recording of your performance.
b) A personal video playing and/or singing a song. ( if you use a karaoke, try to sing in tune - cantar afinado- and keep the pace- sigue el ritmo de la canción-). Name the file before sending it.
c) An analysis of a song you love ( Structure and character) . In a word document or using a powerpoint, write the name of every part and describe the character of the song with adjectives. Don ´t forget to include the link of the video of the song on youtube and name the file correctly before sending it.
d) A critical comment of a concert ( write a composition about your experience in the concert after reading a guide). If you read the guide in the link you can find inspiration to describe different aspects of the performance.
e) A summary about New Years Concert as a composition , podcast or powerpoint ( after working all the material about this topic in class, and reviewing the content about New Year Concert on the link about it).


Finally we studied dynamic markings and Tempo markings and filled a test about all the contents we worked during the year.

We had a nice trimester with new songs to perform in our next concert in April. 


In 10th of March we went to a fun concert by The funanviolistas and OEX ( Orquesta de Extremadura) 

All our students recommended this concert because they enjoyed very much. 

During the week of International Woman´s day, we learnt a choreo related to sex violence against girls. 

Third trimester: 

We started with presentations about our favourite symphony instrument. 

In class we presented different presentation at the same time in small groups in order to rehearse how to do a good presentation and how to evaluate the work of oour classmates. ( Communication, organisation, creativity, fluency, etc). 











In classroom students could read the rules to elaborate the presnetation: 
Origin and history of the instrument
Parts
Instruments belonging to its family
The name of a virtuoso player
A QR code to watch and hear the sound of the instrument and how to play it. 

Some of these students prepared very well the presentation. 
Thank you for your effort. 

As the last topic during this year, we studied the instruments of symphony orchestra and the repertoire for our last concerts (  Musiqueando)

Irene´s journal

In the 30th of May we celebrated a concert in Santa Marina school. 1º A, C and D performed this concert with the repertoire we rehearsed in class and in Musiqueando.
